The role of Temperature Data Logger in tomato transportation

Tomatoes are a very common vegetable on the dinner table, which is rich in vitamins and carotene and other nutrients.  However, tomatoes are prone to high temperatures during transportation and storage, and the high temperature environment leads to the blockage of the sugar transport process in the plant.  With the increase of temperature, the total sugar content of tomato fruit decreased gradually.  This will lead to the imbalance of sweet and sour tomatoes, which will affect the taste and quality.

Therefore, in the process of transportation and storage, ensuring the proper temperature will keep the tomatoes in a very good state of nutrition, taste and freshness. The way to solve this problem is to use a disposable temperature data logger to monitor and control the temperature during transportation.

Monitoring during transportation can not only ensure the safety of tomatoes during the journey, but also prevent the temperature from being too low to cause dark spots on the skin, the taste will become stale, and even lead to rot.

PLUSTRACE G1-D is a newly developed single-use temperature data logger.  It is specially used to monitor and record changes in temperature status of temperature-sensitive fruits and vegetables during transportation and storage.  The single-use temperature data logger is simple in appearance, with an LCD screen to visually display the temperature state during transportation.  The working time is up to 110 days, the outer packaging is IP67 food-grade waterproof bag, and the parameters can be configured according to customer requirements.  After the trip, tear the waterproof bag, link the instrument to the USB interface of the computer, and automatically generate PDF,CSV, Validation reports without other software.  The product is widely used in various stages of the cold chain such as refrigerated trucks, containers, refrigerated bags, medical incubators, etc.
